Fleet

Rederij Cascade is active with a fleet consisting of three ships, namely the Maaslakei, Stadt Wessem and De Gouverneur van Limburg. All ships have Maasbracht as their home port and are the main occupants of the Cruise Terminal Maasbracht.

Maaslakei (motor passenger ship / party ship)

The Maaslakei is the ship that the shipping company started with in 2002. The ship was then purchased from Rederij Stiphout in Maastricht, where it served for years as a VIP ship under the name 'Mergelvallei'. The ship can accommodate up to 98 passengers in the indoor salons, while more than 50 passengers can sit outside. The theme "Limburger sand and gravel extraction" is inextricably linked to the working area of Rederij Cascade. Those who step on board the Maaslakei will be immersed in this theme on both the upper and lower decks. Elements such as mesh gravel, dredged wood and rusted steel give the Maaslakei an industrial look. An eye-catcher is the staircase that refers to the dredgers that were active in the Limburg gravel holes for a long time. The theme is brought to life in words and images using audiovisual means.

Stadt Wessem (motor passenger ship / party ship)

The Stadt Wessem has been owned by Rederij Cascade since 2005. Earlier, she had served as a passenger ship on the Randmeren from Elburg. The ship was originally built as a Dutch cargo ship and was converted into a passenger ship in 1990. The ship accommodates around 175 passengers in the covered areas; approximately 80 passengers can stay on the outer deck. The Stadt Wessem was thoroughly restyled in 2015 and now she has a modern and contemporary interior with a lounge, standing tables with stools and traditional furniture with tables and chairs. The outside deck is also equipped with a lounge sofa with cushions. The ship has two ships' bars, several toilets (including toilet for disabled people) and there is a catering kitchen on board.
