Party ship Stadt Wessem

The ship 'Stadt Wessem' underwent a complete restyling in 2016, and you'll notice it as soon as you step on board. The brief to the interior designer was crystal clear: break away from the 'dusty' image of a stereotypical tour boat and create something distinctive on a Limburg scale. And it was a success! The 'Stadt Wessem' features a fresh and contemporary interior with stylish LED lighting and sophisticated accents, such as a color-changing wave relief in the paneling and robust panels reminiscent of a rusty ship deck. The fresh turquoise color provides a vibrant contrast and is echoed in the transparent curtains, the lounge upholstery, and elements of the ship's bar.

The onboard modular interior concept allows for multiple furniture arrangements. It's possible to set up traditional tables and chairs, standing tables (with stools), and lounge sofas. Additionally, the ship is equipped with an advanced presentation system including LED screens and WiFi, and even live cooking on the teppanyaki grill is an option. The outdoor deck is outfitted with a delightful lounge sofa and outdoor cushions.

In 2023, the ship was fitted with an acoustic ceiling and an energy-efficient climate control system on both decks. These enhancements ensure audible conversations with your (standing) table companions in a cool ambiance, even in tropical temperatures.

During an event, the upper deck, for example, can be arranged as a lounge area while another deck provides space for a lively party with standing tables and a spacious dance floor, or a more formal dinner with seated table arrangements. Groups of up to 90 people can simultaneously use a buffet set up in the same space.

Accessibility

The ship is wheelchair friendly, meaning the entrance is level with the dock or terminal. There is an accessible toilet available, and the upper deck can be reached with a chair lift. The maximum wheelchair width for entry is 90 cm; for the accessible toilet, it's 75 cm.

Sustainable Engine Technology

In 2023, all engines onboard this ship were replaced with Stage V engine technology. Stage V represents the strictest emission standards for particulate matter and nitrogen. Thus, the emissions from all engines on this ship comply with the climate objectives set for the inland shipping sector in the Green Deal. For passengers, this means no nuisance from exhaust fumes and more comfort due to the significantly reduced engine noise.

The ship is equipped with various equipment, including an autopilot, and fully complies with the regulations of the Inspection for Living Environment and Transport. The ship also has a daylight radar, ensuring continuity.

The ship is in excellent condition, and regular maintenance is scheduled by both our internal maintenance team and external parties. For instance, a completely new hydraulic steering system was installed in 2020, meeting the strictest new construction standards for passenger navigation.
